An office building designed to make the everyday extraordinary.
At 111 West Washington we are thinking big and bringing vintage cool space to the heart of downtown Chicago. Burnham Center shows the evolution of a classic Chicago-style skyscraper by incorporating all of its traditional elements, while also delivering the impression of being a modern building. Light is very important in the design, with the structure's rounded corners allowing a few more windows access to the sun. Access is also provided through the central light well -- a feature that was soon to disappear from American architecture. This is not surprising, considering the fact that this was Daniel Burnham's last building.
